The perfect solution to reduce maintenance costs, DoorKing’s Breakaway Hardware Kit for Model 1601 Barrier Gate Operators prevents costly arm replacements by allowing the arm to swing out of the way in the event that a vehicle fails to stop. The system is easily reset by simply snapping the arm back into place.
The Breakaway Kit is designed for aluminum arms only and can be set to breakaway from either side of the cabinet.
Features:
- This kit is designed for a 1601-080 barrier gate operator only. It cannot be used with a 1601-081 operator with Convenience Open, 1602, or 1603 operators.
- The kit provides a break-away bracket assembly for an aluminum arm only.
- If the arm is struck and breaks away (pivots in one direction only, see below), gate operator will automatically shut down.
- The arm simply snaps back into the release rollers to function normally again.
- Breakaway Hardware Kit 1601-295 is used with octagonal aluminum arms (1601-555 or 1601-567).
- Breakaway Hardware Kit, 1601-285 is used with round aluminum arms (1601-522 or 1601-528).
